I went on an owl hunt the other day. I didn’t find any of the owls I was looking for, but I did have a lovely day exploring two different parts of the Don Edwards National Wildlife Refuge. I saw a few jack rabbits. As they aren’t native to the East Coast, they are rather new to me and they always startle me by how LARGE they are. Especially their ears!
We also don’t have ground squirrels on the East Coast.
