I see red-tailed hawks pretty much every day I go out for a hike, so I guess it shouldn’t excite me so much, but I’m always happy to see a raptor, especially close to home as I was here in Garin Regional Park. I’m particularly happy about sharing these pictures because I got to do my first rehabbed raptor release – of a red-tailed hawk – the other day, also pretty near my home, and it was really cool. Perhaps I’ll photograph that bird in the wild someday!
