Vole

I saw a few of these rodents running around in Alum Rock Park the other day but the first couple of times I didn’t get a good enough look to see what exactly they were, so I just informed the owl guru there was “raptor food” running around. Then I saw this one, who stopped short of running into his little hidey hole and let me and the owl guru both take his picture. It’s a vole!
