As you’ve seen over the last few days, I saw a ton of exciting wildlife on and near the Chimney Rock trail in Point Reyes, but the primary wildlife Chimney Rock is known for is actually elephant seals. In addition to the Chimney Rock trail, there is a short trail from the same parking lot leading to an elephant seal overlook, which I’ll get to in a later post, but I also found a bunch of elephant seals near the end of the Chimney Rock trail – I just happened to look down and see them.
