None of these are super-great photos, but they ARE a reason to visit the somewhat strange Warm Springs trail of Don Edwards National Wildlife Refuge.
The first bird I saw was this red tail. Note the dangling squirrel tail…and come back tomorrow.
American kestrel hovering:
I’m not sure if this is the same kestrel; it was taken a little while after the first.
I hadn’t seen a northern harrier in a while!
