The other day I went looking for burrowing owls in two locations and failed in both places. It’s the story of my life. This is the somewhat weird Warm Springs trail of Don Edwards National Wildlife Refuge, sans burrowing owls:
On the way home I swung by the Hayward Shoreline looking for the alleged burrowing owl I’ve managed to NOT see at least 20 times:
