On a tip from my owl guru, I found myself in Redwood Regional Park the other week doing some unsuccessful owl stalking. Unfortunately I didn’t see the owl (nor did my guru) but I did see about a thousand noisy Stellar’s jays, none of whom sat sill long enough for a photo. Here are the only two wildlife examples that DID sit still for me that day:
