Birds and butterflies seen at Lake Berryessa

Lake Berryessa was very disappointing from a raptor – and especially bald eagle – standpoint, but I did see a few cool birds.

Western scrub jay…another corvid and thus Renae fave:

Acorn woodpecker, woodpeckers being one of the other non-raptor birds that I particularly favor along with corvids.

I saw several mourning cloak butterflies and found them to be very tolerant of having their picture taken.
