Monday night I parked in the north lot for Pescadero Beach, which is across Highway 1 from the marsh I wanted to visit. But first I walked down these stairs to gaze at the ocean for a bit. I love all the succulents that grow near the beach; we don’t have anything like that back where I grew up on the East Coast.
