Pileated Woodpecker

These are not great pictures, but I don’t get that many photos of pileated woodpeckers, especially in flight. I hear them calling pretty regularly, and quite often get a glimpse of their red cap when they fly by, but they sometimes prove difficult to get an unobstructed photo of. So although these could have been a lot sharper, I present to you a pileated woodpecker flying in Occoquan Bay National Wildlife Refuge.
