People tend to comment on banana slugs in reviews of certain parks in this area, but I had never actually seen a banana slug in the wild until I went to Purisima Creek, where I saw quite a few. They are shockingly bright! We have some on display at Sulphur Creek Nature Center, so I was familiar with them, but it was cool to see them out in the real world.
