Red Tailed Hawk

I mentioned a few weeks ago that I don’t really post photos of red tails here any longer because this would very quickly turn into redtail.org instead of renae.org. I can’t remember a time when I’ve gone on a hike in this area and NOT seen at least one red tail. But this red tail was hanging out in a tree so close to the trail that I figured the pictures were cool enough to share. He apparently couldn’t have cared less I was standing right below him. Much of the wildlife at Coyote Hills seems a bit nonchalant, really. EXCEPT THAT BURROWING OWL.
