You’ve been wondering, no doubt, if the owl guru and I successful in our covert mission to find burrowing owls while ostensibly on a vernal pool wildflower tour. The answer: sort of. At the end, as we were headed back out, the owl guru saw what she thought was an owl. She turned out to be right, but he was REALLY far away, so far I was unable to focus on him. I hate putting bad pictures up on this blog (though there wouldn’t be much of a blog if I didn’t, haha), but I present these blurry pictures just because I comment ALL THE TIME on here that I never see the burrowing owls I look for. Here is one of the few times when I did!
