I didn’t find what I was looking for on Ramal Road the other weekend, so I drove to Lynch Canyon. I didn’t find what I was looking for there either and was annoyed that it closed at 5 p.m. So then I decided that since it was pretty nearby I would go to Grizzly Island Wildlife Area because although I was unlikely to see any owls, I would see SOMETHING. And see something I did. A herd of tule elk! They didn’t like me and ran away.
