Cypress Tunnel

Merry Christmas!

There is a cypress tree tunnel that leads to the RCA building in Point Reyes. Apparently when you really want to get there is just before sunrise as the sun beaming through the branches from the rising sun makes a magnificent photo. I was there near sunset which theoretically should have been good too, but it was overcast that day and there were no sunbeams. I felt like it was really quite ridiculously dark at 4 p.m., actually. Anyway, I don’t know that I will ever make it to the cypress tunnel at sunrise. I’ve been to Point Reyes for sunrise before, even though it’s a 1.5 – 2 hour drive for me, but that’s because I wanted to see wildlife, and I’m just far more likely to try to photograph wildlife than sunbeams in trees. I suppose, though, that I could some time stop by the cypress tunnel at sunrise on my way to Chimney Rock, as I did see a lot more exciting wildlife at Chimney Rock than I expected to. Well, enough blabbing from me: here is the tunnel sans sunbeams.
