We enjoyed a very mild summer here in the Bay Area, but as soon as Labor Day arrived, things started to heat up. Apparently Indian summers are common here. The other weekend it was scorching in the East Bay so I figured I’d head over to one of my all-time favorite places, Point Reyes National Seashore, in hopes it would be cooler there. It WAS a bit cooler, but still quite warm. I checked out the Estero Trail, which I had never done before. It was mostly out in the open but here is a small wooded area that provided me with a brief respite from the intense sun.
