Anthony Chabot Regional Park is pretty popular, as are all of the regional parks that contain a lake. It’s also one of the closest parks to me, although I tend not to go there as often as you’d think because I just don’t see a lot of wildlife there. Despite the fact that there is allegedly an active bald eagle nest there (you’d think I’d be there all the time in the winter and spring, but I don’t really know where the nest is). However, the other day I was won over by how easy it is to get to Chabot – and it’s a pleasant, fun drive to boot – so I headed that way after work. Here are some pictures form the Cottontail Trail:
