Abbott’s Lagoon

After lighthouse viewing and whale watching at Point Reyes the other weekend, I drove over to Abbott’s Lagoon, timing it so I’d be on the trail at dusk as I’ve heard from more than one source that that trail, though short, is an excellent one for wildlife, with a lot of birds hanging about all day, and fun mammals like bobcats lurking around around sunrise and sunset. No such luck for me, unfortunately – I barely saw any songbirds, and although I’d seen dozens of raptors while driving through the park, I didn’t see a single one on that trail. Oh well, better luck next tme. Here, though, are some random pictures:

Stunning shots, Renae! I don’t even know where Abbott’s lagoon is! You’ve seen way more of the regional parks than I have in the short time you’ve been here!
