I was disappointed to see no burrowing owls at Cesar Chavez park the other weekend. What I saw instead were lots and lots and lots of ground squirrels. I’d never been to the park before so I didn’t have a point of comparison but some lady told me she’d never seen so many of them out at one time before so I guess it was a bit unusual.
