One of the many ways I identify places to visit is to just go to Google Maps and look for green areas. That’s how I found San Joaquin River National Wildlife Refuge, which is about an hour from my house. The other weekend I left overcast skies and moderate temperatures in the East Bay and headed out to this wildlife refuge. I found the weather to be GLORIOUS when I got there! It was just a ridiculously nice day, and I was way too warm in the jeans I was wearing.
