Several weekends ago it was sunny and warm here at my house in the East Bay, so I decided to hop in my convertible and cruise on out to the coast for some driving and photography fun along Highway One. Well, welcome to the Bay Area, Renae. Marin County was FULL of fog. Just fog fog fog fog fog. And cold. This is the Muir Beach Overlook.
This is the Pacific Ocean from the overlook. See it?? Yeah, neither did I.
By contrast, the very next weekend I was delighted to take my brother and his girlfriend for the same drive and the weather was glorious! In retrospect, I’m really glad Karl the Fog made his overwhelming appearance when it was just me and kept his distance when my brother was here because it was his first time seeing the Pacific Ocean! This is the view we had that day from the overlook above. Big difference, eh?
