I planned to visit Scotts Run Nature Preserve after work today but I forgot to take my camera backpack with me when I left for work this morning, which meant I didn’t have my DSLR or tripod. Fortunately I carry a mirrorless camera with me at all times, so I was able to take that. I thought I would feel naked and strange without my backpack, and although I would have liked to have done some long exposures that I was unable to do without my tripod, it ended up being a fun hike because without 25 lbs of camera gear strapped to my back I had more freedom to climb than I usually do, and Scotts Run actually has things to climb. I should do more mirrorless walks!
