I don’t know what this Montana de Oro ground squirrel’s deal was, but these photos were taken with a normal lens, not my telephoto. In other words, I was about 3 feet from him and he couldn’t have cared less.
I wasn’t quite as close to this dude, but he likewise seemed completely unconcerned with my existence.
