California tiger salamander larvae

This post is more an “of interest” post than a photography post. The rare and endangered California tiger salamander breeds in the Warm Springs vernal pools of the Don Edwards NWR and because there was so much rain this winter, the pool containing their larvae was still pretty deep at the time of our tour, so the park rangers dredged the pool to get a couple of them out for us to see: a pretty rare treat! Obviously they put these guys back after a few minutes.
