Near the very end of my hike when I was hiking up an arduous hill (the only one I really encountered), this owl flew over my head. The owl guru has me convinced it’s probably a great horned owl even though I thought at the time it happened it was a short ear. But they don’t call her “owl guru” for nothing so I go with her assessments.
