If you can’t find promised burrowing owls, once the excitement of seeing white-tailed kites fades a little, Hayward Shoreline isn’t quite as interesting as some other parks in this area, although apparently it used to be a landfill, and for a landfill it’s awfully darn nice. But the sun setting over the bay is a treat wherever you are:
